Transverse colon

Transverse Colon The transverse colon is the longest and most mobile part of the large intestine, and it absorbs water and salts from indigestible material. Synonyms: Symptoms: Frequent bowel movements, cramps, diarrhea, bloody stool Conditions: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) , diverticulitis, ulcerative colitis.
