Medial Condyle

Medial Condyle The medial condyle is one of the two projections of the lower part of the femur.  They are covered in thick articular cartilage and act as a shock absorber. Synonyms: Symptoms: Instability of knee, tenderness, stiffness, swelling Conditions: Fracture, Chondromalacia

Medial Meniscus

Medial  and lateral Menisci   The medial and lateral menisci  are crescent shaped bands of thick cartilage attached to the shinbone .  They act as shock absorbers and stabilise the knee. Synonyms: Tibial meniscus Symptoms: Catching of the knee joint, locking, popping sensation, swelling , tenderness Conditions: Tears, ruptures  

Median Nerve

Median Nerve The main nerve at the front of the forearm and controls most of the muscles of the anterior forearm and some of the hand. Synonyms: Labourer’s nerve Symptoms: Problems grasping, burning or tingling of forearm,  numbness. Conditions: Carpal tunnel syndrome, entrapment syndrome
