Acid

 Acid Any of various substances, usually liquid, which can react chemically with, and sometimes dissolve, other materials.

Acid Fast Bacilli (AFB)

A group of rod shaped bacteria, which can be seen under a microscope, when smeared on a slide, which is treated by an acid-fast staining procedure.

Acidify

To make or become sour – acid.
